Words are here to stay. The minute you say them out loud, youre actually writing them down in someones heart, and sometimes a person will live their whole life upon those words
God tolerates our stubborn hearts day after day and still He doesnt destroy us with words. On the contrary, Hes always saying something good to us - how we can always start again (Isaiah 43:18-19), that Hell never forget us (Isaiah 49:15), that Hell always be there for us (Matthew 28:20), that His love is unconditional (Romans 8:35), that were the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8), that our names are written in the palm of His hands (Isaiah 43:16)
Besides we have enough evil thoughts to deal with as it is, we appreciate anyone who knows what, when, and how to speak!
One of the best ways to avoid putting this burden on others is to never speak when were angry because its almost impossible to filter your words in these circumstances. Let things calm down; perhaps you will want to speak the next day or later in the week and if you still feel that youre not quite ready to speak, dont.
How about we listen more and speak less?
